Seaton Construction proudly undertook the challenge of a dynamic cost-plus fee $60M Distillation project in Nebraska. Our journey with this endeavor commenced with Pre-Construction in August 2022, marking the beginning of meticulous planning and preparation. We are excited to bring this project to a close with completion scheduled for the 3rd quarter of 2024. Entrusted with the Construction Management, Seaton Construction has overseen various facets throughout the pre-construction and construction phases. Below, we outline some of the key responsibilities we’ve executed:

Pre-Construction –

  • Extensive coordination with the engineering staff
  • Site Logistics Coordination
  • Safety Planning
  • Budgeting throughout pre-construction
  • Contractor and subcontractor solicitations
  • Subcontractor pre-bid scope narratives, and post-bid scope review meetings
  • Formal subcontractor bid recommendations to the Owner with an open book cost plus contracting strategy
  • Early on-site investigation
  • Design & Constructability Review
  • Early procurement of major equipment and materials

Construction –

  • Permitting
  • Construction management and ownership of all construction activities
  • Detailed monthly cost reporting
  • Level 4 Detailed Scheduling
  • Daily, Weekly, Monthly reporting between CM, Subcontractors, Owner, & Engineering
  • QA/QC
  • Self-perform concrete foundations & flatwork
